Traditional variety grown in Greece. Delicious and very hot.
Recipe
Materials:
- 500gr beans
- 4 spoons olive oil
- 2 onios
- salt
- A little oil for the garnish
- a little fresh lemon juice
- 1 finely chopped onion
Recipe
- Rinse the split peas well 2-3 times.
- Put the split peas in a pot of water (it should cover all the fava beans 2 times or 5 cups of water) to boil over high heat.
- Stir regularly and monitor it after 20-30 minutes with a slotted spoon, skim it and add the olive oil, salt and onions.
- Lower the heat and let the fava beans boil there for one to one and a half hours, until the mixture thickens and thickens.
- Finally, we use the bomix or the multi to make our split peas a smooth puree.
- We serve our split peas with olive oil, lemon and chopped onion.
