Greek chickpeas from traditional seed.
Materials:
- 5ΟΟgr chickoeas
- 3 pieces garlic
- 2 dry onions in rings
- 2 sprigs of fresh oregano
- 3 sprigs of fresh thyme
- 1-2 bay leaves
- 1 cup oil
- 1 s.s.salt
- 1 /2 s.s. pepper
- water
Recipe
- Place the chickpeas in a bowl with some baking soda from the day before.
- We cover them with enough water (their volume doubles).
- We mix them and leave them overnight to swell.
- Rinse the chickpeas well in a strainer and drain them well.
- We place them in the hull and spread them evenly.
- Put here and there the whole garlic, the oregano sprigs, the thyme sprigs, the bay leaves and mix them.
- Place a layer of onion slices on top and season with salt and pepper.
- Pour over the olive oil and add enough water to cover the legumes. Cover the hull
- Preheat the oven to 170 degrees on the resistances, place the shell on the grill 10 cm above the bottom of the oven, bake for 3 ½-4 hours.
